OSHAcademy, a division of Geigle Safety Group, Inc., was originally established in 1999 by Steve Geigle, MA, CSHM, CET. Steve, a former Oregon OSHA Training Specialist, created OSHAcademy's safety and health training courses and programs to meet the growing demand for high-quality online training. In 2011, Steve's sons Chris and Barry joined the business, bringing their skills and knowledge in education and public administration.
OSHAcademy provides free online access to numerous occupational safety and health training courses, which include courses in construction, oil and gas, healthcare, HAZWOPER, general industry, and public sector. Unlike other online training providers who charge a fee to access their training material, OSHAcademy only charges to document the training with their high-quality certificates. This is a significant difference between OSHAcademy and other online providers. The courses are designed for employees, supervisors, and managers. Geigle Safety Group has experienced strong growth since it was created in 1999. Currently, OSHAcademy offers 149 online courses and 30 training programs. They are constantly working to improve their website, training, as well as systems to provide the best online safety and health training in the industry today. OSHAcademy currently also has a network of more than 50 Authorized Training Providers (ATP) who provide classroom-based safety and health instruction across the world.
